T.L. White

T.L. White of Rule, Texas passed away Friday evening, September 26, 2014, at Haskell Memorial Hospital in Haskell. Mr. White was 83. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at the Haskell Civic Center, located at 405 S. 2nd Street in Haskell under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. Burial will take place immediately following the services at Rule Cemetery in Rule. Visitation planned for Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home located at 304 N. 2nd Street in Haskell.

The only son of Myrtle (Barbara) and Trueman Leon White, T.L. was born in Childress, Texas on November 16, 1930. He married Jean Mann in San Angelo, Texas on October 19, 1990. T.L. loved being a cowboy and enjoy working with Jean the last 26 years making deer skin garments.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle and Tureman White; his son, T.L. White, Jr., and 2 nephews.

T.L. is survived by his wife of nearly 24 years, Jean; sons, Cody White and Talbert White; daughters, Amy Lynn Simpson, Paula Hess, and Michelle Candelaria; 2 sisters, Doris Ogden and Rebanell Henry; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; niece, Terry; and nephew, Johnny.

Serving as pallbearers for T.L. are Talbert White, Tommy Wright, Gregg Jones, Terry Sanner, Jimmy Medina, and Ray Mooney.
