Rev. Tom Collins, 80, a longtime resident of Haskell, TX, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017. It was Tom's wish that his body be donated to science.
Tom was born May 1, 1937 in Mangum, LA, to Nancy and Jessie Collins. He served in the U.S. Navy in 1956-1960. He married Alice Lewis on May 15, 1980 in Midland, TX. Rev. Tom loved serving his church by preaching and attending conferences. He also enjoyed basketball and football.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Collins of Haskell; two sons, Derryll Collins of Midland, John Lewis of Houston; five daughters, Jessica Collins of St. Louis, MO, Jackie Collins of Oakland, CA, Jean Collins of San Antonio, Elyaia Collins of San Antonio, and Patricia Collins of San Antonio.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Nancy and Jessie Collins; brother, Percy Collins; and sister, Alice Collins.
