Truman William Brown passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the age of 77. Funeral services are at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Benjamin, Texas. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Benjamin Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
Truman was born October 2, 1937, to Loval Calvin and Era Victoria (McMinn) Brown in Knox City, Texas. He graduated from Benjamin High School in 1957. He grew up in Benjamin,Texas then moved to Colorado and later returned to Texas. He enjoyed working.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Loval Calvin and Era Victoria (McMinn) Brown; ex-wife, Jeanette Brown; brother, Calvin Brown; three sisters, Lois Wells, Vela Whitmire and Veba Jones.
Truman is survived by his sister, Daisy Roberts of Mesquite, Texas; two sons, Jeffery and Thomas Brown both of Colorado; one brother, Stanton Brown of Early,Texas; four grandchildren, Aden Brown, Savanna Brown, Morganne Brown and Owen Brown, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
