Venetia Strickland

Venetia Strickland, 61, a longtime resident of Rochester, TX, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Rochester Fire Hall. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Rochester

Venetia was born on November 30, 1959 in Knox City to Patsy Ramona (Tibbetts) and Andrew Lavern Rogers. She married Paul Strickland on November 23, 1977 in Rochester. She enjoyed playing bingo and was a very avid reader. Venetia especially loved spending time with her grandkids.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Strickland of Rochester; son, Shane Strickland of Rochester; mother, Patsy Rogers of Rochester; brother, Craig Andrew Rogers of Rochester; grandson, Seth Ortiz of Hamlin; and granddaughter, Bre' Ortiz of Hamlin.

She is preceded in death by her father, Andrew Rogers; daughter, Tamara Diane Strickland; and grandson, Andrew Axel Strickland.
