Veronica (Barrios) Taylor

Veronica (Barrios) Taylor, 44, a lifelong resident of Haskell, Texas passed away, Wednesday, March 31, 2021. A graveside service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Willow Cemetery, Haskell with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell. A rosary is planned for 7:00PM, Friday, April 2, 2021 at the funeral home, 304 N 2nd St., Haskell.

Veronica was born March 14, 1977 in Haskell, Texas to Mary Felis (Rodriquez) and Arturo Barrios. She married Billy Ray Taylor, Jr in Haskell and they enjoyed 22 years of marriage. Veronica enjoyed watching and supporting her children in every activity they participated in. She especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Veronica was a friend to everyone she met and will be dearly missed by all.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Barrios of Haskell; husband, Billy Ray Taylor, Jr. of Haskell; two sons, Devon Barrios, Billy Ray Taylor, III both of Haskell; daughter, Nakebra Taylor of Haskell; 8 grandchildren, Kynslee Barrios, Allayna Barrios, Aunestei, Daysun, Teagan, D.J. (Dakota, Jr.), Adalaya, Tylan; 2 step daughters, Iesha Reynolds of Wichita Falls, Baylie Taylor of Vernon; and 2 step sons, Dakota Taylor of Munday, Caleb Toliver of Wichita Falls.

She is preceded in death by her father, Arturo Barrios.
