Virginia Cardoza

Virginia Reyna Cardoza, 77, of Knox City, TX, passed away February 28, 2019 at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory.

Mrs. Cardoza was born October 24, 1941 in Hondo, TX to the late Pedro Reyna and Lenore Frausto Reyna. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Cardoza.

Mrs. Cardoza was a member of St. George's Catholic Church in Haskell, TX.

She is survived by her two daughter's; Janie Andrada and Maria Cardoza both of Hickory, NC her son, Manuel Cardoza of Hickory, NC, two brothers; Jessie Reyna of Rochester, TX and George Reyna of Rule, TX, four grandsons, Dallas Andrada of Hickory, Jordan Ortiz of Italy, Tyler Ortiz of Hickory, NC, an Ashlannde Christian of Hickory, NC, granddaughter Keyana Cardoza of Tampa, FL, two great grandsons; Dante Adrada of Hickory, NC, and Elijah Ortiz of Newton, NC, great granddaughter, Isabelle Ortiz of Newton, NC.

The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at St. George's Catholic Church in Haskell, TX. Mrs. Cardoza will lie in state at Smith Family Funeral Homes, 304 N. 2nd St., Haskell, TX on Thursday and Friday with a Rosary to follow on Friday, March 8, at 7:00 PM. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral mass on Saturday at O'brien Cemetery in O'brien, TX.
