Wayne Stout

July 13, 1945 — June 29, 2021

Wayne Stout entered into his eternal home on June 29, 2021. His battle with melanoma brain cancer was a true testament of his faith. Heaven is now a richer place, and he is wrapped in the arms of our Lord. Born in Detroit, Texas, on July 13, 1945, Wayne was the son of Thurman Stout, deceased on 12-11-2011 and Feba Jo (Turnbow) Stout, deceased on 4-2-2003. Thurman and Feba were known to their grandchildren as Paw-paw and Granma. Wayne married the love of his life, Jeanie Ann Greenwood on June 28, 1964. Wayne has been a member of Weinert Foursquare Church since 1953.

Wayne was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and was a lifetime farmer. Wayne faithfully served the Lord throughout his life. Psalm 116:15 "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints." His devout and unwavering faith in God was his pillar of strength. Anyone who knew Wayne & Jeanie knew that on Sunday morning, Sunday evening and Wednesday evening they would be at church and any other time that an activity was going on. He has left an unapproachable example of faith in God for his children and grandchildren. All the neighbors knew to watch for the old blue pickup as Wayne would be headed to feed all the hungry animals in Weinert and Haskell… mostly cats. Every stray cat in Weinert knew where they could find a meal. Wayne's love of animals, especially his golden palomino, Ab, who was extra special to him. Wayne always wanted to drive a tractor and let his father and Shane be the mechanics. He also enjoyed hoeing cotton along the side of his mother. All Wayne ever wanted to do is be a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanie Ann (Greenwood) Stout of Haskell; daughter, Miechell Dawn Fourton and husband Edward Patrick Fourton of Abilene; son Waylon "Shane" Stout and wife Keri Stout of Haskell; grandchildren, Megan Jo Jennings of Abilene, Thurman "Ryan" Baker, of Odessa, Hannah Stout, Kara Stout, Sarah Stout and Joy-Anna Stout of Haskell; great grandchildren, Jaxten Jennings and Cohen Chiappone of Abilene; sister, Grenetta (Stout) Bledsoe and husband Phil Bledsoe of Weatherford, TX; niece Tammy (Bledsoe) Addison and husband Rusty Addison of Lipan, TX.
