Wilma Bailes

Our precious mother, Wilma Bailes, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on April 14, 2025, at the age of 80.

She was born on June 28, 1944, in Ventura, California, to William and Mamie Eads. She relocated to Throckmorton County at a young age, where she remained a lifelong resident.

Wilma was deeply devoted to her family, always offering them her love and support. Her faith in God guided and comforted her as she embraced the farm and ranch life in Elbert, Texas, as the loving wife of her husband, Robby, for 64 years.

She is survived by her husband, Robby Bailes of Elbert, Texas; her children, Jeff Bailes and wife Kathy of Throckmorton, Texas, and Jana Schaefer and husband John of Boise, Idaho; her grandchildren, Josh Bailes of Azle, Texas, Korey Bailes of Chesapeake, Virginia, Haley Hennessey and husband Tom, and Jake Schaefer of Boise, Idaho; and her great-grandchildren, Tommy and Kate Hennessey of Boise, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her father, William A. Eads, and her mother, Mamie Eads.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 16th, at 11 a.m. at the Throckmorton Cemetery, under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Throckmorton, Texas.
