Woodrow "Woody" Frazier

Woodrow "Woody" Frazier, 93, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Haskell Health Care Center in Haskell, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2014, at First Presbyterian Church in Haskell. Interment will take place immediately after following the service at Pleasant Valley Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. Visitation is planned for Friday evening, June 13, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Haskell located at 304 N 2nd Street.

Woody was born September 21, 1920 in Haskell, Texas to Ola (Bevers) and Julian A. Frazier. He married Nellie Kate Derr in Haskell on April 3, 1938. He was a lifelong member of the Haskell First Presbyterian Church. He owned and operated Woody's School Store from 1942 to 1979, he was the Haskell County Clerk and managed Dairy Queen. He was also a member of the Haskell Masonic Lodge and had a love for gardening in his greenhouse.

In addition to his wife Nellie Frazier, he is preceded by his parents; an infant son; 2 brothers, Byron and Julian; 4 sisters, twins Ollie and Ola, Mary, and Marcell; and special friend, Billy Hardin.

Surviving to cherish her memory is his daughter, Joan Frazier of Haskell; grandchildren, Amanda Tekell and husband Ronnie of Bullard, Texas, Brandy Huckabee and husband Randy of Haskell, J.L. Strickland and Jennifer of Amarillo; great-grandchildren, Emily and Justin Tekell, Laken, Madison, Briar and Hunter Strickland, Rachelle Eldridge, Koby Huckabee; great-great grandchild, Harley Eldridge; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
