W.W. Callaway

W.W. Callaway, 84, of Knox City, TX, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 4:00p.m., Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Foursquare Church, Knox City with Rev. Gary Schnable officiating. Burial will follow services at Knox City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00p.m., Friday, April 27, 2018, at the funeral home, 210 Avenue A., Knox City.

W.W. was born March 12, 1934 in Sulfer Springs, TX, to Opal and Morris Callaway. He married Bernidean (Grant) in Big Lake, TX in 1952. He enjoyed gardening, building jewelry, and raising chickens, parakeets and rabbits.

He is survived by his three sons, Rickie Callaway and wife Anne of Abilene, Larry Callaway and wife Valerie of Weatherford, Ronnie Callaway and wife Lanell of Caldwell; sister-in-law, Norma Callaway of Snyder; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Opal Callaway; father, Morris Callaway; and wife, Bernidean (Grant) Callaway.
